
The Commencement ceremony at CSU Channel Islands is a candidate’s ceremony and not a degree conferral ceremony. Participation in the ceremony does not guarantee degree certification. Candidates who are denied will receive notification by mail from the Records & Registration office. Denied candidates are required to reapply for graduation for the term in which all degree requirements are met. More information about the Commencement ceremony will be posted at a later date. Additionally, eligible degree candidates will receive a Commencement Candidate & Guest Information booklet in the mail early in the Spring 2011 semester.

In order to participate in the Commencement ceremony, you must complete the mandatory online Reservation to Participate form, which will be available early in the Spring 2011 semester.
Degree candidates who plan to participate in next year's Commencement ceremony (May 21, 2011) are encouraged to attend the CI Grad Fest and Career Fair where a multitude of services and information will be available in one convenient location. The 2011 Grad Fest and Career Fair will be held during the Spring 2011 semester. The official date will be posted here once it has been confirmed.
The Honors Convocation ceremony will be held on campus on Friday, May 6, 2011. At that time, honors candidates will be recognized and will receive their cord or medallion that may later be worn at Commencement. Invitations with further details will be mailed to honors students in April 2011. Your family and guests are also welcome to attend this ceremony. Additional details will be posted here as they become available.
