Lagomarsino Award to Be Presented at President's Dinner

Camarillo, Calif., October 3,  2006 — Linda Dullam, a longtime member of the Ventura County agricultural community, has been named the 2006 recipient of the California State University Channel Islands Lagomarsino Award.

The award, named in honor of the Honorable Robert Lagomarsino, a former United States congressman and a longtime supporter of the University, is presented to an individual who has contributed to and supported higher education. Dullam has been involved with the University from its beginning, and currently serves on the Development Committee and Landscape & Courtyard Restoration Sub-Committee, and is a member of the President’s Circle.

In addition, for four consecutive years, she has chaired the CSUCI President’s Dinner, one of the major fund-raising events of the year. Collectively, these events have netted the University more than $500,000.

The Lagomarsino Award will be presented at the University’s annual President’s Dinner Saturday, October 7, at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library. Tickets to this year’s event are still available at $250 per person. In addition to presenting the award to Dullam, the event will feature the raffling of a 2007 red Chevrolet Corvette. Raffle tickets are $50 each. Ticket purchasers do not have to attend the dinner to be eligible.
