B&TP to Present Leadership Awards, Scholarships

Camarillo, Calif., March 21, 2006 –  California State University Channel Islands will present awards to local leaders at its Business & Technology Partnership (B&TP) 2006 Leadership Dinner Tuesday, April 18, at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley.

The B&TP will honor T. Michael Murray, president, St. John’s Regional Medical Center, with the business and community leader of the year award; James J. Harber, Ph.D., director, Central Coast Biotech Center at Ventura College, with the technologist of the year award; and Philip Hampton, Ph.D., CSUCI  professor of chemistry, with the faculty leader of the year award.

In addition, five $2,500 scholarships will be awarded to CSUCI transfer and junior-status students.

The event is sponsored by the CSUCI Foundation and Santa Barbara Bank and Trust. Proceeds from the dinner fund student scholarships.
